How is HeadCoaching different to the advice I get from my SIP, LA link advisor, Chair of Governors or other headteachers?

HeadCoaching is for professionals in senior leadership roles who require a blended approach to professional development and well-being support that is personalised and strictly confidential. This involves coaching school leaders privately, complementary to, but beyond existing performance management systems and school improvement partnerships which tends to focus on school improvement and floor targets. Senior leaders are coached to fulfil their own agenda and equipped to use the same coaching methods to empower others. There is a widely perceived need for personal/professional support which is of a more neutral and confidential nature and which is constantly accessible. This is because many heads under pressure may find it difficult to admit to feelings of inadequacy and are unable to approach their peers for support for fear of being seen as not coping with the demands of the job. Additionally, all the evidence suggests that heads always consider the needs of their staff before their own.
